FBI enhances the vibrancy of the WA Screen Sector. FBI is a notforprofit, membership based organization, which aims to facilitate the development of local West Australian, emerging and mid level filmmakers, interactive developers and screen artists. FBI achieves its mission of developing an innovative and different screen culture in Western Australia through the subsequent range of activities, services and events. FBI offers production promote and advice to autonomous screen industry practitioners. We also donate customized training events for schools and businesses. FBI screens a regular program of local and independent screen culture, plus annual events including the WA Screen Awards. FBI supports sponsors numerous autonomous screen events film festivals in WA. FBI will encourage, develop, urge and help screen culture and production by the autonomous screen community in Western Australia for the benefit of and relevance to the wider screen industry. FBI will attain this through production support schemes, equipment and facilities hire, screening events, nationally recognized training, short courses, seminars and workshops. As a membership based notforprofit organization, FBI provides the West Australian community with precious access to self-reliant screen culture and creates greater opportunities for telling local stories through digital media formats. Responding and adapting to social and technological developments, FBI has continued to be apropos to the wider industry and currently provides a range of educational training and development programs, production assistance schemes, equipment and post production facilities, industry networking urge and major screen culture events. FBI is a leading member of Screen Development Australia, a national network of state screen resource organizations, and is financially supported through the FBI Membership, ScreenWest, the Screen Australia, and corporate and community partnerships. He has also been given cultural status in the Pilbara. John’s particular interests in being the Executive Committee Member on FBI's Board is supporting the emerging film makers, community television, the Indigenous sector of the screen industry and maximum importantly the rise of social media and the gaming. Prior future to FBI in early 2012, Paul had been CEO at the WA Music Industry Association for over ten years and during that time taken AM from a small, largely volunteer run organization to a professional industry association achieving impact nationally and internationally. During that time Paul was a coconvenor of the Contemporary Music Occupied Group, a lofty glossy national advocacy round table which had a significant impact on advocacy in contemporary music which remains felt today. A Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, Paul brings a range of skills from financial management, governance practice, strategy development and implementation and strategic marketing through to disruption and change to the table as CEO, and the past four years have seen evidence of each of these at FBI. Over the preceding 15 years he has also worked as a teaching artist for Curtis, WAAPA, Bell Shakespeare and Aida. Fast global and local changes plus a tougher economic environment have created an excellent opportunity for FBI to be innovative and visionary in its strategic direction and to execute healthy thought out strategies to facilitate emerging talent to create world class stories for the screen film, TV and games. Justin has worked across film, television and multiplatform digital media. With several brief films under her belt, and an array of other multiplatform, interactivemixedmedium productions in development, Lauren’s enthusiasm drives her to continue developing the teams she is occupied with, as well as creating fresh ones across considerable artistic industries. Lauren’s passion for FBI lies within its potential to unearth talent in the emerging sector, and to assist with the skills' growth of those transitioning from tertiary into industry in WA. In the interests of FBI, and those involved in it, the constitution deals with the rights, powers and obligations of all people involved in the company, and provides clear guidelines as to what conduct and behavior is acceptable and what is unacceptable. FBI provides financial promote to filmmakers for the production of concise films below a number of schemes.
